A move across the state line doesn't break your order — but it does change how you enforce and where you can modify.

Register and keep paying

Register the order in the new state for enforcement, and determine under UIFSA (Tex. Fam. Code ch. 159) which state keeps modification authority. Keep paying through the SDU and update employer information so withholding follows quickly — the paper trail is what protects you.

Coordinate the changes

If visitation or overnights shift because of the move, file coordinated modifications so custody and support both reflect the new travel reality rather than drifting out of sync.
